Amazing Features of the Houston Museum of Natural Science

Joel Bartsch is a curator with more than three decades of professional experience. He has held different positions in several museums throughout his career, earning certifications and licenses like the Carnegie Medal for Outstanding Contributions Mineralogy and Kremlin Gold Exhibit Catalog Masterpiece in the Mineral Word. Joel Bartsch started his career in 1980 as an assistant to the director of the Colorado School of Mines Geology Museum in Golden, Colorado, and is today the President and CEO of the Houston Museum of Natural Science.

The Houston Museum of Natural Science is a public museum in Houston, Texas. The museum, which draws a lot of visitors, is open from 9 am to 5 pm daily and has a variety of ticket prices for adults, seniors, servicemen and women, students, and children.

Among the fantastic attractions of this museum is the Cockrell Butterfly Center which displays a multitude of butterflies in a simulated rainforest background. Another prominent feature is the Moran Paleontology Hall, housing over 450 fossils and fossil replicas and a glimpse of ancient life. It also has wildlife named the Farish Hall of Texas Wildlife, with various animal species. The Hall of Ancient Egypt is another incredible attraction of the museum containing hundreds of incredible artifacts from Ancient Egypt.

Other unique features include the Wortham Giant Screen Theater, the Burke Baker Planetarium, Cullen Hall of Gems and Minerals, and the Stroke Hall of Malacology.
